Most sales tax and consumption taxes are regressive, the middle and the bottom pay more than the very top. However, there may be a move toward one or both taxes. Or, another way to do regressive taxation is cut taxes almost completely on estates, dividends, capital gains, savings, and expense investments.

The president’s taxes paid were announced today. He paid 4 times what my wife and I paid. However, he made 4 and a fraction more than we did. That seems fair? Well I am in the 28% bracket as he is. However, we are still loose change.
