ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

God is the most described and undefined in the English language. What is attributed to God and the power and wisdom of God is again speculated, but unknown. Can we make God into something that supports viciousness and evil? Yes. So what are we to do?
God is. God may be a noun or a verb or both. What does God do? We will argue with the term in each new generation. We look to the heavens and wonder.
What in the world are we to make of the God who destroys the land and people like the tsunami? Is God that cruel? Do we know that God wanted that to happen? Perhaps through glimpses, hunches, revelation, and reason, we can come to terms with this. However, many of us will still wonder.
One early morning, John Lennon of the Beatles wrote the following:
Limitless, undying love
That shines around me
Like a million suns
And calls me on and on
Across the universe.
That may be God.
