ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO BE A MEDICAL DOCTOR
ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO BE A MEDICAL DOCTOR?

The number applying for medical school continues to diminish. HMO’s seem to run the lives of doctors. They must see at least 25 patients a day and emotional satisfaction of doing a good job is waning. In Med. School, doctors may tell the students in private moments to look elsewhere for work.
Numerous other cheaper practioners are now competing with medical doctors. Clinical psychologists want to write prescriptions for anti-depressants. Nurse practioners want to write scripts for antibiotics, mild pain killers, and related. Chiropractors, natural healers,
and others make medicine more difficult.
Except for a few specialties, medical doctors work long hours, have huge tuition bills to repay and die young. Some move to boutique medicine for rich patients because the number of people per day is cut. Others go to clinics where most autonomy is gone, but the hours and pay are decent.
You want to stop and smell the roses and quit moving so fast? Rethink the medical route.
