BEACH BOYS AND THE ROYAL PHILOHARMONIC BAND
BEACH BOYS AND THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
The Beach Boys new album covers from early 60’s to Kokomo. There is even an inclusion of “Here Today.” This was a special album cut. The orchestra also has a “California Suite” that is awesome. You can hear
Carl’s voce and he passed in 98’ so they must have taken parts of the vocal tracks and some of the music tracks and mixed it with some outstanding orchestra music.
It appears there was a lot of work in mixing all the components together. After playing it a number of times, the choice of songs seems superb.
For once the cover has a picture of them that is part artwork and photographic material. It is a great album cover. My count is that this album is around their 250th album. They are 57 year old band or thereabouts.
There are two bands. One is Brian, Allen, and crew. The other which probably plays to slightly larger crowds is the Mike Love-Bruce Johnson group. This reviewer became a fan in the summer of 1963.In America, they died in 1968 and came back zooming in 1974. Overseas, things were much better.
As an original American band, they are number one in sales and worldwide they share a top spot with Beatles and Rolling Stones. Summer is here. Good Vibrations.
