BIOCHEMICAL SOCIOLOGY
BIOCHEMICAL SOCIOLOGY: A REVIEW AND A NEW APPLICATION/ EMOTIONAL BUFFERING.
Biochemical sociology may have many origins, but the one most noted on the internet is the author. The first study published in _____ described numerous correlations with mainstream biological chemicals within the body that increased “untoward behavior” ( a generic term with aggression .) That article was followed by ______in terms of measuring biochemical sociology. By then the American Sociological Association announced this field in an internet statement______.
Two research scientist published Social Neurosciences. These authors described three major areas: sociology/ psychology-psychiatry/ neurobiology. The author was fortunate to review the book. It is in process. Further Tomasello applied these variable interplay with socialization. This should be published soon.
The fundamental premise is that all the fields can be applied. We are in the stage of using them together. Nature and nurture are necessary. We have just begun. Further, as this continues alternative chemicals may be appropriate. These alternative chemicals may come from the past or now rediscovered thus this open press on alternative and complimentary journal.
The latest and most exciting is an external sociological variable causing toxic stress within children. High doses of cortisol and can flip switches in the brain that later in life causes severe diseases. In the last century, it was infectious diseases. Now it is sociological externalities that are important. As this is being studied, a number of cases can still be treated as medical problems that originate from other sources. However, this phenomena is becoming more and more interest. Initially discovered by Anda& Fellitti, the groundswell moved to the ACE SCORE. It is a nominal test of which there is an index of a number of good and bad comments, actions, bad touching. Of the 17000 subjects that suffered depression, sex promiscuity, drug abuse, and related, over half had at least one or more violations of self by another. Further, emotional buffering like a good hug or sincere comment releases the hormone oxytocin which helps to heal.
Those good hugs and supportive comments are called “Emotional Buffering.” The ACE measure is nominal and not interval or ratio numbered. Thus, a score of 4 is generally worse than 1 but is not necessarily 4 times worse. It may be the future holds that artificial wombs can be created that provide for the release of oxytocin. It may look in a very general way like an iron lung of the mid 50’s of the last century. The womb however is inviting and filled with sights and sounds helpful to the patient.
Speical technicians may have protective gear as well as the patient so the person can be hugged in a non-threatening special way. One can only look at the table of contents of this journal or previous issues at what may appear outrageous but may have a direct or intervening stimuli to help the patient.
Please recall that new medications as well as mainstream treatments still remain important. Therefore, the medical field will have even more choices to help patients with recurring social, psychological, or physical pain or co-ordination.
