The tabloids screams of family break ups, drunks and drugs, and the Conservative’s message seems to fill what voters want. They see a broken society.

However, if so many folks want the good old days. What were  they like and

what happened back then?

Here is what the stats say. Compared to anything in the past 30-40 years or so, there is LESS CRIME, LESS KILLING, FEWER TEEN MOMS, FEWER PEOPLE SMOKING CIGARETTES, LESS DRINK, AND LESS DRUGS.

So what is going on? Due to past prosperity, there are more folks living alone. Now the economy is struggling. The schools continue to fall in math when compared to other world systems. Those that drink do so heavily and publically. Due to more privatization, there is a growing inequality. Gangs standing  on corners continue to be dispersed only to gather again. There is a malaise or

anomie that is not necessarily medical but a social depression of HOW SOCIETY

SHOULD REGULATE IT’S SOCIETY.

Further, Brits see other countries appearing to do better in some of their outward

public disturbances like Italy’s busting and reducing drunken behavior.

Last, less are reading the newspapers and now are watching television and tabloids. They scream bad news.
