CHRISTMAS 1978
CHRISTMAS 1978
DECEMBER 20/
We had Christmas at home as we will go to Omaha in a few days. The boys were excited. I bought Jennifer a plant stand.
DECEMBER 21/
I am beginning to believe that God could like a slob like me. It is a sunny day. The evening was great.
DECEMBER 22/
I wished everyone at work a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukah. We headed for Omaha. It was a good day. Things were going fine except that Jennifer took the road to Kansas City. So we took 92 and had a scenic route to Omaha. We stayed at parents’ house.
DECEMBER 23/
We said hello to everyone at Horrums. Bercaws invited us over for dinner. We had a beautiful time. They really seemed settled. It was good to see them.
DECEMBER 24/
We took Dode out to see the lights on the houses in the western part of Omaha. She seemed real pleased. I was nervous about going to Wakefield’s party. We saw Bill and Sandy, Barbie and Lee Norgaard. We also talked with Bill’s mom. The kids stayed at Dick and Mary’s house. It was not the usual Christmas Eve.
DECEMBER 25/
It was a great day at Horrums. Both Christmas and one of the main days of Hanukah are celebrated today.
DECEMBER 26/
Jennifer went shopping and I took care of the Nathan and Jason. I am reading THE GIRLS ROOM. It is about the decline of feminism. It was a restful afternoon and good eve.
DECEMBER 27/
We had a rough trip back. Jason had a diaper rash. The weather was good. We said good bye to my parents’ house.
