DORIS WALLIN
SHE WAS BORN ON AUGUST 2, 1914. She spent most of her life in Omaha, Nebraska. She delayed high school graduation for one year to take care of her mother who was dying of Cancer.
Her father moved from 58th and Corby St. to the Elks Club and Doris moved down the street to live with the Ranzes.
After high school, she met Charles Norris Snell at a Demo lay function. They dated and married in 1933. They lived a short time in north Omaha and then on to 5806 Lake Street next to the Zimmerman’s. They raised 3 children. Both the kids and Doris went to Rose Hill grade school and on to Benson High school.
Charles was promoted to Branch manager of an allied chemical company. They added onto the house so that her father, Gus Wallin could live there.
Doris moved from Corby, the day Harriet Nelson (of Ozzie and Harriet television show died)to an eldercare nearby. She met Elmer Jonson and married him at Benson Presbyterian Church. She died at the turn of the century and Elmer followed her into death one year later. She was active in the Benson community.
