Authors drew from 12,000 already interviewed children from a previous study. This secondary analysis found 44 teens that had gay moms in a marriage like situation. So far, most study looked at young children. This looks at teens. The findings suggest that there were no significant difference between teens raised by gay moms and a matched teen from a straight family in terms of measure of self esteem, anxiety depression. Nor, were there significant differences in sex preference. Both gay and straight families had mainly straight kids.

The next part of the study is to look at youngster’s overall health and sex preference as adults.
