HOW LONG WILL YOU LIVE?
HOW LONG WILL YOU LIVE?
Corliss, Richard and Michael D. Lemonick (2004) “How to live to be a 100” TIME, August 30, p.47
The latest expectation is that most will live (genetically and environmentally) to 87 years old before they die.
Here is a way to determine how long you will live.
1. Are you optimistic? If not subtract 5 years from 87.
2. Any relatives that have lived to be in their 90’s? If so, add 10 years.
3. Excercise 30 minutes 3 times a week? If not subtract 5 years.
4. Do you exercise your mind with new information? If so, add 5 years.
5. Are you overweight from the textbook standard? If so subtract 7 years.
6. Do you smoke? Subtract 5 years.
(With this, I am supposed to live to 90. However, I had a bad heart attack at 52.)
Party on!
