how much can I pay you not to reproduce?

In philosophy, one can ask such questions because it  is an idea that is being tested by debate. It is a thought experiment.  So let’s look at people and decide if it is even debatable.  First, Americans are paid to reproduce. The new baby can bring a tax supplement or a check to help the child survive. Further, there have been numerous strategies that describe to a youngster about sex and part of that of that program is to give birth control. When that is done, unwanted and under supported children are dramatically reduce. It is called Abstinence Plus. Abortions also drop.

However, this is immoral. Why because it gives both sexes strategies that will encourage them to have sex before they are married. Additionally they are less likely to get STD’s. China has / had a one child policy and numerous girl babies were aborted. I do not support that. Further, there are many more males than females. That can be trouble especially with crime.

In looking through the literature,  I have not seen much so let me try to just go through some ideas. Do I like them? Not necessarily, but I sure want to talk about them.

*OPEN FLAT FEE There should be a flat fee of $10,000 to  one to become sterilized. Many could apply for it after they have had 4 to 6 children or less. Sterilization is rather inexpensive and fairly easy to obtain. (However, this is  sinister because poor people especially people of color will be pushed to use this and there  will be less poor people to vote.  Others can have their two children and then go collect $20,OOO and become sterile . How many white professionals would do this? I think many.

*SELECT FEES. In this plan, you can pay according to what parents cost the society and the government. Regardless of social class and race, you can be rated for a fee up to $12,500. In social  work area, it appears that there are multiple problem families. They cause all types of trouble and spend most of their lives on someone else’s money.

However, multiple problems can be widened so that upper and upper middle class people must be given a  stipend to get out of prison because they have swindled thousands to millions of people. They do white collar crimes and cost  many folks all of their life savings.

* OTHERS, there may be many problems or solutions between the two extremes listed above. However, it would appear to me that the real problem is the structural poor. They are destitute in good times and poor times. By the way, this solution if any solution is found is more likely to be among conservatives. However, there are progressive that may be interested if one can demonstrate that this is not mean spirited and does not mean African-American removal. Further, to Black candidates, structurally poor on the whole do not vote.

Some social conservatives will say that I am playing God. Nope. So will a number of Progressives. I am not. This is an idea on paper. I must own it, but I do so

reluctantly.
