He was a faculty member at Dana College and Kirkwood College from 1969 to 2010. In his last position became full Professor of Sociology. He was published in hundreds of publications in over 80 venues including newspapers, online, national periodicals and second quartile to zero point academic journals. He also was a Vocational Counselor for a poverty program for the U.S. Department of Labor, a Futurist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and a Fellow in the Arlington Institute, a Washington D.C. “think tank.” He received the Governor’s award for reading books for the Blind.
