LYING
LYING
I want to impress you. So I tell you that I climbed the Sandia mountain at the edge of Albuquerque. My wife and I were staying with relatives and over their fence were the mountains. We walked about a mile and then I went up the mountain. It was the winter of 1972. We were visiting relatives.
When we came back, we stayed in the den of their home and I read Sinclair Lewis’s AEROSMITH.
All that I told you is valid or true. So what is the lie? I climbed the first mountain that had a very gentle slope. It was an easy climb.
The relatives could be interviewed except they are both dead. All the rest is subject to debate. However, it was true.
And so it goes.
