SEX CHANGE AND DEPRESSION
SEX CHANGE AND DEPRESSION
ABSTRACT/ The author Abigail Shrier maintains that sex change has pressured young women to obtain sex change surgery. It is a sociological craze. They may obtain the operation and then feel regret. The patient cannot return to becoming a female if she wants it. The predators are the medical and educational system.
INTRODUCTION/
Shrier’s “Irreversible Damage, The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters” was published and released to the public in 2020. 1/ After this number of years what has been the outcome?
She received considerable praise from conservatives. 2/ It would appear to this author that the most important statement is the one should be cautious. A valid approach is to ask how young was the girl when she wanted a penis? 3/
DESCRIPTION/
Sex change and depression appear to be related if the young girl at 3 years old or older wants the change. Thus, the depression arises when the girl on the outside really wants to be the other sex. 4/
Shrier is a Wall Street journalist and raises medical issues that originate from her. Other medical professionals on balance do not appear to agree. 5/
However, there are females that do search for surgery and are not depressed. The penis is easier to maintain than the vagina. Females have to deal with menstruation, discharge of vaginal bacteria liquid and related. Further, their lives do not appear to be interrupted from bi and heterosexual contact. They can masturbate and feel relief after the surgery and the necessary psycho-biochemicals. 6/
If the female wants a child, she must do so before the sex change. One can now see females with a penis on the internet. 7/ What demands more research is can a female who has regret have surgery to return to being a female? The author indicates that the sex change is not reversible It appears that depressed young females rarely ask for the return to their outward appearance and have a vagina. Perhaps this reviewer has missed this answer. (See addendum)
DISCUSSION
For those who have depression, it does not necessarily come from wanting to be the other sex. There are numerous antagonistic stimuli within and outside the female that can cause troubled feelings. 8/
The depression may also be relieved by anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. This is not an issue that can be easily diagnosed without the necessary medical, social, and psychological reviews. The judgment should not be rushed. 9/
CONCLUSION
It has now been at least 5 years and the surgeries continue or become more mainstream. The cost of children and the additional work to support one’s self should support transgenderism. Thus, young females who have the abundance of research are not depressed rather because of they prefer the ease of the use of a penis. Thus, a small subset are depressed because of the sex of the biological stimuli. Further, can one go back to their original outward appearance and the use of the vagina? No (see addendum). THE STRICTER THE LAWS ON SEX CHANGE THE MORE LIKELY THE SUICIDES.
Again, the greater the punishment the more likely the suicides increase. What might happen if a scenario includes a Liberal outcome. Young women get appreciable gender care help. She has the backing of the family and the school. The American Medical Association, The American Psychological Association. and the American Association of Social workers support sex if the surgery is carefully conducted. Surgeries are now left out of the news. 2) We continue on with the conflict. America is divided once again over another issue. The division is perhaps similar as the abortion issue is now. It is now outlawed. However, it was legal for a number of years. Thus, there is a division. Polls indicate that abortion is supported by the public. 3) America becomes more conservative.. Young daughters are incarcerated

ADDENDUM
Leonard, JF. (4/22/ 2025) Females Can Return to their Body, Medical News Today,
This is a surprise finding. I have added this at this location of the article, because of a personal discovery. I wanted to keep the above, because so much of the literature is reflected in the above. Further, I am not sure if this is correct. The strategy legitimates the surgery. Further, other material may arise that may disturb the debate. It would appear to this author that no matter what the Center Left indicates that it will be overcome by the Right. This may be a replay of the abortion debate. There are roughly 15 other articles on this subject.
