Why tell everyone you don’t know? Why not just be quiet about it and move on? They insert themselves into the thread for the attention. It’s the same for those who compose long, ignorant posts about a topic they know nothing about and haven’t even bother to read the post or the accompanying link. Chis Hays makes this willful and public display of ignorance understandable. All for attention.
