The Stolen Girl is an upcoming Disney+ television series starring Holliday Grainger. Directed by Eva Husson, it is an adaptation by Catherine Moulton of the novel Playdate by Alex Dahl (2020). The series is scheduled for release on 16 April 2025 on Disney+.[1]
Synopsis

A Europe-wide hunt ensues after a woman realised her daughter has been kidnapped from a play date.[2]

Production

The project was announced as a five-part series in June 2023, with production by Brightstar and Quay Street Productions and Tanya Seghatchian, John Woodward and Nicola Shindler.[3] First look images from the production were released in January 2025 with the series named The Stolen Girl.[4]

The cast is led by Holliday Grainger, with roles for Ambika Mod, Jim Sturgess, Bronagh Waugh, and Denise Gough.[5]
Filming

Filming got underway in Manchester in June 2023.[6] Filming locations are also expected to be in France.[7]
