Ray Kurzweil has 18 techs monitoring 50 areas for new ideas and technology.

He predicted the World Wide Web in 1988 and it emerged in 1992. In the future, he sees the ability to reverse engineer the human body so that more parts can be made to help people live longer. He also sees tiny bots traveling our circulatory system rejuvenating tired blood cells. Further, he envisions that our body which is 50 to 60% water going without a lot of water and to be able to live for very long periods of time. Further, he believes that our brain capacities will be dramatically improved.

Most futurists have moved away from prediction into helping clients think about the future and alternative futures with key trends and wild cards.
