UNITARIAN-UNIVERSALIST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Unitarian-Universalist Christian Church
In this 21st century, we are part of a large inter-faith church composed of many religions and beliefs. As the Christian wing, we believe in the Jewish-Christian God maker of heaven and earth.
- God is really defined in many ways. We welcome Arians, Athanasiusians, Gnostics and others. Or, both Unitarians are welcomed as is Trinitarians.
- Jesus was a gentle Jew. Some believe that he is part of a tri-part God and others believe that he was a divine prophet and savior.
- The Holy Spirit may also be defined along with the human spirit. Humans are complicated and may be selfish. The church tries to help members to not only be good to others, but good to themselves.
- The Bible is a combination of the Jewish Torah as well as the Christian New Testament. The Bible must be read cautiously as it is a reflection of many writers who reflect some of values of the various periods of history. Many believers do not accept some statements that would appear to support slavery, female submission, and related.
- We believe that at death there is ultimate salvation. This means that there is a heaven and purgatory or reincarnation or transmigration. Some believe that end of life ushers one into a dreamless sleep.
- Thus, there is a God of second chances.
- We welcome science, reason, pro-social white magic, and paranormal entities such as angels that can help one through life.
- All the above may be changed to some extent in the days ahead.
