END OF LOYALTY: A THOUGHT EXPERIMENT

ABSTRACT: THREE PHENOMENON MAY IMPACT THE FUTURE. THEY ARE GLOBALIZATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AND AUTHORITARIANISM

BASIC TERMS: Globalization means capital can move almost anywhere and labor can not move.

Artificial Intelligence indicates that technology can replace both human thought and action. Authoritarianism means that a dictator replaces a democratic government. Only 17% of the total population live under a democratic government.)

INTRODUCTION

The author will discuss three major phenomena that may impact the future in the United States.

DISCUSSION

Globalization is an elite driven economic system. Thus, if a product can be made in various countries with low wages, it is then sold to first world countries. Increasingly, wages in first world countries are reduced and increasingly jobs become more likely to be contract work rather than careers. Families then begin to “double up” with numerous generations in one house. Many every day consumptive products and services are reduced in terms of purchases. Morale of non-super rich is gradually decreased. Upward mobility in the United States is quite low compared to other democracies. All of the above may encourage the gathering of non-democratic dissidents on both the Left and Right.

Artificial Intelligence is defined as technology that can out perform human effort in creating both products and services. As employment is replaced, numerous economic activities are reduced by workers, and/or the Non-super employees and consumers. Please recall the robotics perform excellent services without alarm or complaint. All the above many encourage of non-democratic dissidents on both the Left and Right.

Authoritarianism means that a dictator gains control of a population by fear and chaos. The reorganizing of society is a top down elite, generally without a middle class, and the masses are carefully monitored. Authoritarianism is generally defined as two levels. General authoritarianism allows “freedom of the coffee house” This means citizens may express their grievances in a public bar or related. However, if a citizen complains public ally outside the tavern they are placed in a holding center.

Most of humanity lives under a dictator, “rump parliament and a phony supreme court. All the above may encourage non-democratic dissidents on both the Left and Right.

Thus, there is an inventory of determinants all enhancing and co-determining the other. Only 17% of all those living on the planet live in democracies. Perhaps, this may be the future of countries all over the world. Many other variables may arise and the above may not be bald. Futurists often use alternative outcomes. So this may be wrong or very wrong. Further, there could be an event leaves the planet no longer inhabitable for homo sapiens.

CONCLUSION

If a philosophy could be numerated in terms of multi regression, it would appear that the three phenomena discussed above, using Step wise regression, that those listed above would have significant beta weights.
