Strategy
Four priorities guide everything we do.
Crush violent crime.
The FBI will destroy the ability of violent actors, gangs, and cartels to operate. The FBI will dismantle criminal enterprises.
Defend the homeland.
The FBI will protect the United States from terrorist attack, foreign intelligence, espionage, foreign cyber operations, and adversarial cybercriminal activity
Rebuild public trust.
The FBI will increase its own transparency to the public and be responsive to congressional oversight. The FBI will increase trust in U.S. communities and institutions by combating public corruption, white-collar crime, and civil rights violations.
Fierce organizational accountability
The FBI will hold all employees, processes, tools, and technology to the highest standard of accountability – keeping the American public informed.

Services and data
The FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division, or CJIS, is a high-tech hub that provides a range of state of-the-art tools and services-including crime data and tip processing-to law enforcement, national security and intelligence community partners, and the general public.
Training and professional development
The FBI offers training opportunities to U.S. and international agencies and partners. The range of professional courses, to include the National Academy, serves to improve the administration of justice and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.
